Aztec Iconico is a rare ANCCE registered PRE cremello stallion, and one of only two graded cremello PREs in the UK (and the only one available at public stud). He was bred in the UK by myself, in conjunction with Sue Taylor, and has fabulous movement, temperament and bloodlines.

Aztec Iconico is by the palomino stallion, Pomelo V, who comes from a long line of world-renown Paco Marti PRE colour dilute bloodlines, including Revoltoso XXIX, along with Claudio Vives being his dam’s sire. He combines his rare DNA colour profile with superb conformation and uphill, elastic paces.

He will always breed a dilute foal from a non-dilute mare and can breed all colour dilutes (palominos, buckskins and smokey blacks). As a cremello, he will always breed palomino offspring to chestnut mares and will always breed a double dilute foal from a double dilute mare.

Iconico has a fabulous work ethic and has been a pleasure to back and train to date. He has a lovely temperament, is very confident and like all PREs, is a willing and quick learner.

He was placed 1st for his movement at the International ANCCE Virtual Morphological Contest (3-yr-old colts) in July 2020. He was placed 3rd overall for conformation in this class and subsequently placed 3rd overall for movement of all international young stock presented. A great achievement for a British bred Spanish horse!

Iconico was awarded Silver Premium at British Futurity, scoring 7.875, in August 2020, and he is licensed with AES.

He is a super prospect for any warmblood mare owners wishing to breed for movement and temperament, with offspring eligible for full AES papers, and also eligible for PRE Fusion registration with the British Assoc for the Purebred Spanish Horse. Offspring from ANCCE graded PRE mares can be registered as PREs with ANCCE in Spain.

His first offspring passed her ANCCE grading in 2025 and his second offspring was awarded Gold Premium at the 2025 British Futurity.
